Born and raised in South East London, Russell’s passion for fashion eventually led him to You & Your Wedding magazine, where he spent ten years as Fashion Director. In 2005, he used that experience to open Blackburn Bridal in Blackheath.

 

Since then, Russell has dressed thousands of women and become known for combining bridal expertise with warmth, honesty and instinct. His work has been featured across the bridal press and television, but the individual bride has always remained at the heart of his approach.

 

Russell takes the time to understand each bride—her personality, shape, wedding and how she wants to feel—before guiding her towards the silhouettes and styles that truly suit her.
